 Non-Directional Sampler Element
The 4274-025 sampler element is a
non-directional coupler that provides an unrectified signal at about -50 dB ± 2 dB from
25-1000 MHz tapering to -66 dB at 2 MHz. The Model 4274-025
replaces the standard element
in Bird wattmeters for applications where mainline power does not exceed 500 W.
- Sample RF signals for applications in signal leveling, frequency control, wave shape monitoring, etc.
- Fit the element socket of APM-16, Model 43, and many other cable-type THRULINE ® wattmeters.

Directional coupler elements extract a
calibrated, attenuated and unrectified signal which is brought out through a female BNC
connector on the element face. Rotating the element between 0° and 180° varies the
amount of coupling. Minimum attenuation of the main line signal is the nominal coupling
±1 dB within the stated frequency band.
The meter movement or display
will be inoperative when sampler or coupler elements are installed.

RF Signal Sampler
 The Model 4275 produces an unrectified sample for spectrum analysis, signal observation,
frequency counting, etc. Insertion loss is a negligible 0.1 dB, with very low VSWR
throughout a broad frequency and attenuation range. The coupling factor is adjustable and
lockable. The main power line connectors are QC type.
- For spectrum analysis, signal observation, and frequency
counting.
- Uses QC Connectors for maximum versatil-ity.
