FreeTalk from KENWOOD.
15 channels, 38 QT talk groups & 83 DQT talk groups
The FreeTalk offers no fewer than 15 channels, of which 1-7 are
compatible with FreeTalk FRS radios.
QT (Quiet Talk) means that you
hear only calls with the specified talk group tone (38 for QT) or
code (83 for DQT), eliminating unwanted interference from others
using the same channel. And to check for voice activity on different
channels and talk groups, theres a handy scan function.
Compact, durable design & simplified controls
Weighing just 7oz
(200g) with the rechargeable battery, the FreeTalk is light as well
as ergonomically designed to fit into the palm of your hand. The
tough polycarbonate case ensures that its able to withstand the rigors of outdoor use. And to make
operation as simple as possible, the control buttons have been
reduced to PTT, MON, MENU, CALL, UP and DOWN.
4-digit 7-segment
LCD with backlight
The distinctive display is extra large, making it easy to check
on both channel and signaling information even in the dark, thanks
to backlighting. A 3-level icon in the LCD shows you how much
battery power is left, while a separate 2-color LED indicates red
for transmit and green for an active channel.
Privacy Talk
Privacy Talk scrambles the transmitted signal to
keep your conversations confidential.
Includes 10-hour battery pack, desktop charger and more
You can
enjoy up to 10 hours* (approx.) of use with the supplied Ni-MH
rechargeable battery. When you get home just slip it into the
desktop charger. And if youre planning to spend a few days away, no
problem: the FreeTalk will run off a pack of 3 AA alkaline
batteries. In addition to there being a battery save feature, you
can conserve power by switching output from 1 watt to 500mW (per
radio). A belt clip is also supplied.
