DESCRIPTION

Midian's TRA provides telephone voltages and ring voltages to simulate a telephone line. The TRA uses VOX operation for asserting the PTT of simplex two-way radios or remote controllers. Other features include connect/disconnect ANI's, channel scanning, and multiple decode numbers for individual or group call. Duplex operation is possible when using a duplex mobile radio.

APPLICATIONS

The TRA can be used as a phone line extender for areas without phone line access. It can also be used with a KSU phone system to control a base station or a tone/DC remote or to provide in-plant paging of two-tone, five-tone, or DTMF.

INSTALLATION

Midian's TRA is easily interfaced to many full-duplex or simplex mobile radios and KSU phone systems. The TRA works with most DTMF interconnects including Midian's DTI & STI series interconnects.

TRC-1
Tone Remote Control

The TRC-1 is a tone remote control that offers up to 14 programmable function tones based on EIA standards. A standard feature includes DTMF encoding. Several options to choose from.

DESCRIPTION

Midian's TRC-1 allows a dispatcher or operator to control a remote base station or repeater using the standard EIA tone format over a dedicated phone line, microwave path or telemetry link. It also employs an intercom feature to allow the dispatcher to talk to other parallel tone remotes on the same system. With the built-in keypad the operator can select up to 15 functions/frequencies and perform DTMF dialing and optionally perform paging and pulse dialing.

Tone Remote Encoder

The TRE-2 upgrades your existing tone remote to offer up to 10 function tones or convert a DC remote into a tone remote. The TRE-2 is available as a module, vertical dash mount box, or a keypad bezel.

The TRE-2 is a tone remote encoder available as a module, vertical dash mount box, or a keypad bezel. It offers the 40 msec F1, F2, and monitor function tones. The function tones are preceded by a 120 msec high-level guard tone at 2175 Hz and followed by a 2175 Hz low-level continuous guard tone. It also offers F3-F10 when a keypad is adapted to the TRE-2.

The TRE-2 upgrades your existing tone remote to offer up to 10 function tones or convert a DC remote into a tone remote. It may also be used to key-up base stations of a microwave, continuous carrier radio link paths, or to modify Telco Butt/In test sets for tone remote.
